Hello! Today’s topic is about the changes in generations. Every generation of teens is shaped by the social, political, and economic events of the day. Today’s teenagers are no different – they tend to use technology more. But the past teenagers weren’t introduced to the technology , hence they enjoyed their lives with physical activities and they learned through experiences.
Today’s teens are mostly introverted and they are likely to be alone. They spend hours texting, gaming, web surfing, streaming and hanging out online. This makes them socialize less. They will find it hard to solve their real life problems, these teens are living a social media life and sometimes they even forget what reality is. Today’s youths are more emotional and sensitive to their social world.
Teenage life is a phase full of energy, hope, life, joy, beauty, and passion. Teenagers do not have responsibilities on their shoulders and can enjoy a carefree life. They can explore new things without the fear of being easily molded. As far as learning is concerned, teenagers can easily learn and pick things quickly. Despite many advantages, being a teenager in today’s world is not easy. Teenagers face many challenges, making right decisions, choosing the right environment and people, and expressing emotions, etc.
Healthy eating, daily basic routine exercise such as walking, cycling, exposure to more direct sunlight and good 8 hours of night sleep helps to balance tennage challenges.
Teenagers now live in a completely different world, as compared to a few decades ago. There are several reasons that being a teenager is difficult is hard today.
Today’s teenagers are under a lot of stress like non-stop exposure of social media, bullying, Hormonal effects and Puberty. They lack Privacy and Independence in a teenager may encounter unhealthy expectations such as the fear of failing in exams. These reasons make them suffer from depression, stress, insomnia and anxiety.
Already stressed, teenagers should not be treated harshly and strictly. Family members, teachers, and friends should talk to them in a friendly manner to understand their feelings and concerns. On the other hand, teenagers should also realize what is good and what is wrong because what they will choose in life could either make up their life or make it miserable.
