Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy based on science
that disease is the result of nutritional deficiencies in our diet that can accumulate over time. It is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.
Our body has the innate ability to heal itself from many ailments, provided we give it the appropriate nutrients to do so. Many of us have even inherited nutritional deficiencies and don’t even realise it. Nutritional Therapy therefore takes a holistic approach seeking to discover the root cause of the client’s symptoms and then working with the client on a dynamic level to give the body what it needs to restore and maintain the natural balance of the body. Since no two people are the same, the treatment programme is devised according to the needs and personal circumstances of the individual, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
I endorse a nutrient dense, whole food, properly prepared diet as well as adding necessary supplementation to balance body chemistry and correct deficiencies. I also aim to educate my clients by debunking certain nutrition myths, many of which are outdated.
