First of all, what is meditation?
Meditation isn’t about becoming a different person . It’s about focusing our mind on a particular activity or an object – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
Meditation is used to increase awareness of yourself and others around you. There are nine popular types of meditation practice: mindfulness meditation, spiritual meditation, focused meditation , movement meditation , mantra meditation, transcendental meditation , progression relaxation, loving-kindness meditation, visualization meditation. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being. Students who meditate are able to handle stress better and experience more positive emotions.
