Firstly , what is veganism ? Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals. An individual who follows the diet or philosophy is known as a vegan. A vegan diet contains only plants (such as vegetables, grains, nuts and fruits) and foods made from plants. They completely ignore animal based food products which even includes dairy products . According to recent research pro athletes are increasingly adopting vegetarian diets as it shows increased health benefits and enhanced recovery.

Once considered a niche diet, veganism has gone mainstream — so much so that the number of people following a vegan diet has increased by 350% in the last decade, according to research from the U.K.

PURPOSE OF VEGANISM :

  • products made from animals. As such, it can be both a food and lifestyle choice.

This pandemic has brought a lot of changes in food preference of the public . What was once taste and experience has now been dominated by health and safety factors. In this scenario, many of us vouch for veganism as the best choice.
